Overview

Browseability is a modern browser automation and embedding technology designed as a clean, secure, and future-proof alternative to legacy ActiveX controls. Built around WebView2 and COM-friendly interfaces, Browseability enables rich web content, DOM interaction, and automation without the security, deployment, and compatibility problems that have historically plagued ActiveX.

Browseability works very much like ActiveX but without the dependency on old development options.  There are 32-bit and 64-bit versions.   This should work with most any language that allows one to create a window or dialog control which can be referenced with an HWND.  There are also Methods which allow for HTML, JSON and XML parsing with or without an interface. As well as the ability to query an SQLite database and present the results as an HTML Table.

This is a Windows based product.  It requires the installation of WebView2.

It has been the, longstanding, practice of Data & Stuff Inc. to release fixes and features immediately.   There is no "development-cycle".   If you report a bug and it is fixed that day it will be posted that day and not with the next, unspecified, "release". It is the same for new features and feature requests. They are posted when complete.

Browseability License Agreement

Owner: Data & Stuff Inc.

1. Grant of License

Data & Stuff Inc. grants the purchaser a non‑exclusive, non‑transferable license to use Browseability in the development of applications, commercial or otherwise, in accordance with the purchased license count.  Distribution of Browseability and your license for use by others in their development projects is prohibited.

2. License Scope

A minimum of one license is required.  It is assumed someone will use what is being developed but Licensing is based on end users, not developers.  Developers using Browseability solely for development or testing do not require a license.   That is, if someone is developing something that only one person will use, you only need one license.   If the developer is using it, in addition to development, and one other person is using it then you would need 2 licenses.

3. Updates and Upgrades

One (1) year of updates is included with the initial purchase. Upgrade renewals are required to receive updates after license period has ended but Browseability will continue to be functional for versions up to license expiration.

4. Trial License

Trial licenses are valid for 30 days. After expiration, up to two purchase inquiries may be made. If no response is received, contact will cease.

5. Limitation of Liability

The total liability of Data & Stuff Inc. for any claim related to Browseability shall not exceed the purchase price of the applicable license.

6. No Warranty

Browseability is provided “AS IS” without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

7. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed under the laws of the State of Missouri, USA. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively within Missouri.

8. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties regarding Browseability licensing.   Data & Stuff Inc. is the sole interpreter of the meaning of this agreement.
